Community College Partnerships
Boise State Online’s interdisciplinary professional studies program has partnered with community colleges across Idaho to help you transfer up to 80 general and technical education credits.
Technical Credits
Apply up to 12 completed technical education credits toward your bachelor’s degree. Talk with a student success coach to learn how this degree leverages the hard work you’ve already completed.
Credit for Prior Learning
Not all learning happens in the classroom, and we believe that your experiences through work, volunteering and life should have the potential to count toward your degree. Create a portfolio that showcases your learning and receive credit for prior learning to save time and money.
What Is Interdisciplinary Professional Studies?
The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Professional Studies lets you take creative ownership of your education with concentrations tailored to your interests. Concentrations include certificates and minors in business, leadership, communication, cyber, healthcare, education and more.
Take classes 100% online or combine online and in-person courses to earn your degree.
If you choose to take classes 100% online, you can either choose a concentration or an online emphasis area in high-demand industries, including community impact, cyber and design and media management.
Online Community and Social Impact Emphasis
Prepare to meaningfully engage in your community by nurturing an innovative, adaptive and community-conscious mindset. This emphasis includes three certificates that cover professional skills like business leadership, communication management and community impact.
Online Cyber Operations Management Emphasis
Learn the management and communication skills you need to lead in the cyber industry. Complete certificates in cyber operations, communication management and business leadership to meet the demand of a rapidly growing industry.
Online Design and Media Management Emphasis
Understand how users interact with media and develop the skills needed to create, produce and manage content across multiple platforms. This emphasis includes a certificate in business leadership to prepare you for a career in design and media management.
